Chris Marquardt and some new developments

Episode 1698 (1:04:00)

This week's photo segment is not an assignment review, but Chris joins Leo to discuss a few new developments. Here are the links:

Fooling an AI

Image recognizers can be fooled; lots of research is going into that.

Creating better people

StyleGAN2 is creating more detailed and more realistic portraits of people ... people that don't exist! It fixes a bunch of problems and has fewer artifacts. StyleGan2 bases its image creation on millions of photos online, but the images themselves are completely new.

Our next photo assignment is - NORMAL. Take a photo of, about or otherwise concerning the concept of "NORMAL" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "TGNORMAL" as well! And if Chris likes it, it could end up on next month's photo contest review segment.
