There’s a curve on the number of features. As you get more expensive, you get to a certain point where it doesn’t matter how much you spend, there’s no real benefits.

If you spend a little money you don’t get much bang for the buck, as you spend more, you get more bang for your buck, once you start spending a whole bunch of money, you begin to lose the bang for your buck.

RF Keyboards have a very long range (10′s of feet). People can get software that puts everything you type up on their screen.

There are secure keyboards available, and you should probably get them.

A blogger in Silicon Valley somehow got the number and was able to listen in to the company only meeting of Microsoft. He heard Steve Balmer say “you’ll hear something tomorrow”.

There’s a difference in opinion of how much Yahoo! is worth. Microsoft thinks that the amount they’re offering is higher than the amount Yahoo! is worth, and the people are Yahoo! think that they’re company is worth more.

Leo thinks that Yahoo! will take the offer and make an announcement on Monday.

Hour 1

Q Adam in California - Mac not reading Samples quick enough

You might want to try a 10,000 RPM drive. You should have a seperate drive for the samples and the stuff your recording.

If your using 80 Samples and Loops, it can really bog down the processor. Certainly get more RAM, and get as many 10,000 RPM drives as possible.

Q Barbera in California - Computer freezes

Usually if a computer overheats, it will freeze up. If the fans ramp up right before it freezes, then it may be that it’s overheating.

It’s probably not something you can fix yourself. You might want to try opening it up, clean any dust out.

It sounds like you’ll want to send it away for repair.

Hour 2

Q Stuart in California - Network printing problems

Setting it up can be pretty hard when it’s over the network, but it’s very convienient when you have a lot of machines. You will need to find the right drivers that support over the network printing.

Question 2:

I could be the software in the TV, which is supposed to reduce artifacting. You should try playing a DVD and see if it happens there. If you don’t get the same problems with a DVD, it could be the cable company.

Q Trent in Winston - Good Hosting Provider?

Broadband Reports do great reviews of hosting companies. Webhostingtalk.net also have real people reviews.

You want to look at forums.

Q Steve in California - Image Stabilisation

You can set the shutter speed to a high shutter speed. If you can get to 1500 or 2000, and that will freeze the image, no problem.

TrueCrypt will protect your USB stick with a password. There are other USB drives that protect your data, such as the Iron Key which will lock if the wrong password is entered 10 times.

Q Matt in California - Philips HD TV?

You will want to made sure that Standard Definition is well upscaled on it. Just look at the content you’ll be watching a lot, and decide which one is right for you.

Q CJ in Kansas - Offering an RSS Feed

You probably have 200gb of bandwidth. Leo’s shows use 1000gb a day. Leo recommends Libsyn as they have lots of storage and bandwidth. They change $30 a month for unlimited bandwidth.

You figure how big your feed is, then multiply that by the number of listeners you can expect, and that’s the amount of bandwidth it’ll use.

For example: a 10KB feed with 100 downloads a day will be 1MB of bandwidth a day or 31mb of bandwidth a month.

A Dual Layer DVD will stop you at 9.4GB. HJ Split is multi-platform and works great. It’s fast, and free.

Q Douglass in California - GTA IV

The new Grand Theft Auto game is less violent than the previous game. It tells you that the things your doing are ethically wrong, and everything has a story line behind it that shows if you kill someone, it doesn’t benefit anyone.

Q Gabriel in California - Google Adsense Problem

Google Said Keywords not relevant. Google is trying to avoid Spammers and people who are trying to game the system. Obviously the system isn’t working very well.

It sounds like Anti-competitive behaviour from Google. This is why we need Net Neutrality.
