Dickie D is back with a gadget he has no use for, but can't wait to get ... it's called the Vaavud and it turns your Android smartphone into a Wind meter. With the Vaavud, you can share the wind speed exactly where you are. It can measure wind speeds up to 25 meters per second, which if he did the calculations right, is about 56 miles per hour. It uses two magnets that connect with the magnetic sensor in your phone to calculate wind speed and plot it on a map where you are. It’s compatible with most iOS devices (not iPods), and the Samsung Galaxy SII, SIII and SIV.
