Sandy's RING Doorbell will not chime on her mobile phone. She installed an app called ZEDGE and it suddenly stopped. Leo says you can check your RING doorbell health by going into the app itself. Then look in the settings and see if it's been changed by the ZEDGE app. That could have caused it. Make sure your notifications are enabled.
third party apps
Ed uses Proton Mail, but also Gmail. Gmail tells him he has a message at Proton Mail, but he wants to get rid of Gmail. Rich says one thing to do is just log out of Gmail and it will leave him alone. Another option is to look at what third party apps have access to his Gmail account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Eric has heard that iCloud is going to require two factor authentication for third party apps. Is that true? Leo says it is, and it's a good idea. The problem is that not all apps have a two factor authentication scheme, so Apple has a work around by requiring an app specific password as well. Starting June 15th, if he doesn't have two factor enabled, he'll be forced to do it. From there, he'll have to re-login with a second unique one time password.
