Joe wants to know if he should buy Apple stock. Leo says he's the worst person to ask because 1) he doesn't buy tech stock to keep himself unbiased, and 2) he isn't an expert on stock and what to buy. Apple stock is high to begin with and what Apple is really into now is services, not really hardware. They're moving away from computers, too. Take away the iPhone, and Apple is in trouble.

SNAP IPO Launches at $17 a Share, with $34 Billion Value

Snap's IPO was launched yesterday, selling at $17 a share, with total value of $34 Billion. That's a heck of a lot for a single app called Snapchat. But is it worth more than Marriot? Leo says it's rather over valued. Why is it so high in value? Leo says that people wants to know how to reach young people and Snapchat is where the kids are. Kids don't watch TV anymore, they watch YouTube and talk amongst themselves. And Snapchat is their platform.

Twitter IPO Gets Dress Rehearsal

The New York Stock Exchange has decided to learn from NASDAQs Facebook disaster and simulated a Twitter IPO to make sure that the NYSE could handle the traffic when Twitter's Stock goes live. Twitter's stock is expected to fetch around $17 a share, making the company worth about $10 Billion. Leo says it's very interesting that a company that hasn't really made any money should be worth so much.

Google Stock Surpasses $1,000 Per Share

Google's quarterly earnings call this week showed that their stock has climbed past $1,000 a share, with significant gains in mobile search ad revenue. It's good news, but Leo says the fickle nature of stock means that sooner or later, it'll plunge. Nothing stays on top forever.
