Frank likes Windows 7, and he wants to keep that same look and feel when he upgrades to Windows 8. Leo says that upgrading to Windows 8.1 will allow him to boot to the desktop with a start menu, etc. But he can also use utilities from StarDock called Start8 and Modern Mix for $5 each. Leo says it's worth the money.
Taylor wants to get a PC with a copy of Windows 7, but he's having trouble finding one. Leo says that's by design because Microsoft wants people to buy Windows 8. Leo's not much of a fan of the "modern UI", but he's found a way around that with Stardock's Start8 utility.
Asher got a 2TB Seagate hard drive but after installing it, he just gets an error message saying it can't be read. When he initializes it and partitions it, he gets another error of being unable to write to it. Leo says that it sounds like the hard drive is just plain broken, or the USB interface to the external drive is defective. More likely, it's just DOA and Asher needs to contact Seagate or Best Buy to return it.
Morgan got a new PC and hates Windows 8. Should she downgrade to Windows 7? Leo says no. He recommends buying StarDock's Start8. It'll bring back the start menu and it's only $5. Leo uses it and it's a lot better that way.
