Brett was looking at the Sony Alpha line of mirrorless cameras, but they're pretty expensive. Are there more affordable options out there? Leo says it's so expensive because it's full frame. That would give him a much better image, especially in low light. But Leo suggests looking at a micro four-thirds camera like the Panasonic GH5. It's half the price of the Sony.
Craig has a website called GumRoad.com where he features many of his painting and drawings. He wants to animate them. Can he use his camera to do that? Leo says sure, and it will be stop motion to do it. Does he need to buy a special camera? Leo says that a point and shoot will work, but to change out his lenses is beneficial. Leo recommends micro four-thirds. In fact, he can future proof it by shooting in 4K and downsampling to 1080p.
Jordan has a budget of about $1000-1500 for a good camera for a trip to Hawaii. Leo says that's a great budget for an interchangeable lens camera like a DSLR or a micro four thirds camera like the Olympus OM-D E-M5. These are excellent cameras with good kit lenses.
