Rick's son is about to start school and wants a laptop. He wants a 15" screen, running Windows 10. Leo says that almost all laptops have a touchscreen. But Leo recommends the Lenovo Thinkpad T-series. They have no-touch screen options. He will want a mini 8GB RAM. Another option is the Dell XPS 15. Microsoft's Surface Pro Laptop 3 business model is also good.

Dan needs to buy his son a new laptop and wants to know whether a MacBook Air or Chromebook. He'll be traveling to China for an exchange student program. He also wants to maintain his social media. Leo says that either one will work, but he should be sure to obey the rules and regulations while being a guest there. Don't try and get around China's censorship by using a VPN. That's just asking for trouble. Email is not blocked, so setting up an email publishing scheme is best.
Mel wants to buy his grandson a new computer. He wants to spend around $400 or less. Leo would recommend a Chromebook for that price. There are Windows machines in that price range, but they're not very good. A Chromebook will give him more bang for his buck and it's really secure. But he won't be doing any gaming on it. Most school work is done on them, so it makes for a good school computer. Leo likes the Chromebook Pro, but the Chromebook Plus is also good.
Caesar's daughter gets all her homework assignments from a website online, and he's going to have to update their computer so it will work better. What should he get? Leo recommends Chromebooks because most schools are using them now. Leo prefers Acer because they have a wide array of models in his price range. Leo recommends going down to a local Best Buy and see which one is best. The 15" is a great option for about $200, but the 11" may be good enough.
Lisa got a Chromebook. Leo says that those are great for what she wants to do and they're much less complex. Now her son wants one for school, but he's looking at a Cloudbook. Leo says not to get that! It's a Windows version of the Chromebook. Sure, it's attractive for Office 365 included for a year, but it's nothing but a cheap Windows machine.
