Leo's been using iPhone 5 for a day and hasn't really noticed it being really appreciably faster than his Galaxy SIII. There's two questions about the iPhone 5. The significant difference is that it has one extra icon row, or 176 pixels more. If you're in an LTE area, it may be worth it because of the fast connectivity. Running a speed test, Leo got 27mbps down and 15mbps up. That's faster than home internet, but that means you'll burn through your data caps faster too.

Apple to Announce iPhone 5 on September 12th

Apple will take to the stage of the Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts in San Francisco on Wednesday to announce the iPhone 5, Apple's 6th generation iPhone. It's likely to be have a taller screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio (1136x640). Will it have 4G/LTE? It likely won't have near field communications (NFC), but airlines have already begun offering boarding passes through Apple's wallet in iOS. The headphone is being moved to the bottom, and there's a new 9-pin power jack which will force iPhone fans to reinvest in their third party accessories or at least an adapter.

Generally, for most people, the iPhone is the right choice. Sandy was at a Verizon store, and they recommended she get a Lucid by LG. Leo says not to get that. It's a junky Android smartphone, and if she's going to get Android, she should look at the Samsung Galaxy S III or the HTC One.
