Roger wants to buy an iPad Pro and he wants to know if the Apple Pencil is for more than drawing. Leo says it can be used for anything, but Leo says that the $100 price tag is obscene. What about the keyboard? Leo says that the Keyboard is awesome. It's really a full case and it makes it much bigger. But the Logitech keyboard is $20 cheaper and has backlighting.
Leo picked up the iPad Pro yesterday, and serendipitously, the Apple store was out of the iPad keyboard. So he picked up the Logitech Create keyboard and he likes it far better. Leo likes it because it has dedicated iOS keys, a backlit keyboard, and doesn't need to be charged because it magnetically connects to the iPad's power. But he's not really sure you're going to want it because it makes the iPad Pro 3 pounds! Leo wonders why Apple didn't just make the MacBook Pro a touch screen. But if you want the ability to turn your tablet into a 13" laptop, this is definitely the way to go.
Chris says that financing on the iPad Pro is confusing. Should he just buy it outright or finance it? Leo says that financing on the iPad is far different on the iPad Pro because Apple isn't competing with carriers. But it usually costs more with interest. Apple has sweetened the pot with the iPhone, bringing the interest down to almost nothing. It's still better than buying it on a credit card. Leo advises waiting to see what the financing options are when it comes out. By then, Apple should make their terms and conditions more clear.
David is wondering whether he should get the iPad Pro when it comes out, or get the Microsoft Surface Pro. We don't really know anything about the iPad Pro quite yet. Leo's impressed by it, but it comes down to whether or not software will take advantage of it. Since David will be using it for business, office work, and multitasking, Leo recommends sticking with the Microsoft Surface Pro. The Surface Pro 3 is good, and the Surface Pro 4, which should be out soon, will be even better.
In a marathon two and a half product reveal event, Apple announced a new OS for the Apple Watch, a pair of new iPhones - dubbed the iPhone 6S and 6S+, the iPad Pro, and the new AppleTV. Leo says that. Leo says that the iPhone's new camera looks impressive, but Apple's new 3D Touch feature looks good too. There's three levels of touch that gives different menus and features. The new iPad Pro, however, proves that Apple's tablet has moved from a content consumption device to a bonafide productivity tool.
Sam has an iPad 3 and he's about to upgrade to the iPad Air 2, but he's concerned that they will announce a new version within a few months. Leo says that nobody really knows when Apple will announce a new product. But Leo says that since Apple has released the iPad Air 2 just last October, there's a good chance that Sam is safe for at least a year. Leo does have a hunch that there may be a larger iPad Pro coming this summer, however.
