This Tuesday at 10am PDT, Apple will be streaming an event called "Time Flies," and Leo says it hints at a new, sixth-generation Apple Watch. Leo wonders though, just how much more you can do with a smartwatch. And he also thinks that maybe it'll be the release of a new version of watchOS 7. Other new features will include an expanded sleep feature and more software additions. But he also thinks there really isn't much more you can do hardware-wise. We are in essence at peak watch.
New rumors are indicating that Apple may be making new product announcements this week, including iPad Air, WatchOS 7 and iOS 14 will be ready to ship.
There's a bug in iOS14 that notifies everyone in your contact list what is in your clipboard. 56 apps are getting the data from your iOS clipboard and then passing it along to others. Leo says it's a common tool in app development to access the clipboard, but the bug is making it sharable.
Meanwhile, LinkedIn is getting sued for sharing the contents of the clipboard as a violation of California's new privacy law. Linked in claims it was all done unintentionally, and Leo believes that's the case.
Apple's Worldwide Development Conference is virtual this year, and Monday's keynote is expected to have new product announecments including a new updated iMac, perhaps an iPhone announcement, and iOS 14, which will have "Car Key," an app that will enable users to open up their car and start it. Leo says that this is officially a bad time to buy Apple Products until we know what's coming. So play wait and see until Monday.
