Mike wants to know how he can automatically upload his images from his Google Pixel 3 to Amazon Prime. Leo says there's a setting in the prime photos app that will upload what's on the phone and upload it. Anything that's in google photos, however, will need to be moved over manually. But there's a way to do that in batches.
Google Pixel 3
Stephanie has a Motorola Droid Max, and she wants to upgrade. Is Google Pixel a good option? Leo says it is, but don't do it now, because Google is going to be announcing the Pixel 4 in a few weeks. In fact, Google may have put the Pixel 3A on sale already.
Tim is tired of getting phones with overlays and corporate logos in the OS. Where can he get a simple, vanilla Android phone? Leo says that the Google Pixel 3 is what he'll want, and there's some great deals to be had. And with the new Night Shot mode, it's by far the best phone on the market right now. The key though, is to avoid getting it through a carrier.
Cheryl plays Pokemon Go. But she dropped her phone and now she's having a lot of connection issues in the game. Leo says that isn't the phone, that's just Pokemon Go. He experiences that problem all the time. He thinks it's a software issue, and overly congested servers. Leo says that his wife recently just gave up on the game as a result. But he recommends trying other internet connected apps and see how those work. She should also run SpeedTest.net. If it connects, then she'll know it isn't her phone.
Leo got the Google Pixel 3 XL smartphone this week and spent the day in San Francisco trying out the camera. Leo says he's impressed with the Pixel 3 camera and its photo features, including an impressive zoom. Google is using computational photography to do a lot of the things that a telephoto lens would do, and the results are remarkable. Users, though, are complaining about the deep "notch" on the top and the 'chin' at the bottom.
Andrew is thinking of switching from the iPhone to the Google Pixel 3. How's the camera? Leo says that he's seen images of the Pixel 3 and the camera is blowing him away. Google has really refined computational photography to the point where the images look very much like those shot with a DSLR. It feels great in the hand, too. People don't like the notch though. But Leo says he'll get used to it pretty quickly.
Ron is wondering whether he should get the Google Pixel 3 or the Galaxy Note 9. Rich says that the Pixel 3 isn't out yet, but he can't see it having much more than an improved camera. It will also have the pure Android experience. The Note 9 is superior, though. But he'd be happy with either phone.
