Sam joins us to talk about Harley Davidson's new LiveWire eBike. It has a range of 140 miles and is rated at 88mph top speed. In reality, though, it's more like 80-90 miles of range. But 0-60 in 3 seconds! Leo says it accelerates like a rocket! And Harley has deals with Electrify America and other charging outlets to offer 500 hours free charging when you buy one. But Sam doesn't think Harley will sell as many as their classic hogs, still, he also says that there's a new market emerging.
Grant wants to get an electric bike. Leo says they are great to get around, and he can pedal them. But they aren't cheap at $1500 or more. He can electrify an old bike, but that's almost as much. Leo's wife likes the RadRover with big fat tires.

There's also a recumbent trike called the TerraTrike.
Yes, an e-bike small and light enough to fit in a backpack. That's what Smacircle says they've created with their model S1. And people are really interested. On Indiegogo, their project raised nearly $560,000.00. It's built with carbon fiber and although it weighs only about 16 pounds it's strong enough to carry a weight of up to 220lbs/ 100kg. It folds to fit into a standard backpack with the tallest dimension of the S1 being 19 inches. Or you can carry it easily by holding onto the saddle.
