Marcy is tired of the high cost of cable after that initial bundle deal. She's ready to cut the cable. Leo says that you have to read the fine print in your bundle deal to see what the details are. Usually, they raise the rate pretty dramatically. Marcy went scorched earth and canceled her service, then waited a few months to get the next offer. Leo says you can do that, but you can also threaten to cancel and ask to speak to the retention specialist. They can give you a better bargain.
Deals this weekend only at Best Buy, the 65" TCL QLED is half off, or $1000. There's also a 75" for $1800 (reg $3000). If you're in the market for a new large TV, Scott says it's a great deal.
Mike says a lot of apartment complexes are making deals with cable TV to provide deals on cable TV in bulk. He got free cable because it's included in his rent. Leo says that many apartment buildings are doing that with the internet as well! Leo says it may seem like he's getting it for free, but watch out though, the rent will likely go up next year. And all too often, he can't get out of it and go with another company.
Mark has a Samsung Note 5 and needs to upgrade. He's on MetroPCS, but he's looking to move to T-Mobile. Rich says that since Mark bought an unlocked Verizon phone, he was bound to run into problems using it from MetroPCS. Rich recommends buying a Samsung Note 9 directly from Samsung. Mark will get a purely unlocked phone from the factory, which will be updated by the carrier when he takes it to a new carrier. But Rich says that T-Mobile does a lot of deals on things, and Mark will likely get the best deal from them.

Eric is looking to pick up a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for his wife. Leo says it's a really nice phone and since it's a bit older, he can get it for a good price. Is $795 good? Leo says that's $50 less than when it was introduced. He saw it at $650 unlocked. Leo says since Eric is with Verizon, he'll have to get it supported by them. Leo advises going to Amazon Wireless. He could shop around, but the question is, will Verizon support it?
Scott saw Big Hero 6 in Atmos, and it was completely immersive. The sound was coming from everywhere. The Hobbit is also coming. And the new Star Wars trailer is out, although it doesn't tell you very much.
