Seraphine is suddenly suffering from no WiFi. She was "borrowing a cup" from a neighbor, but now she can't get it. Leo says it's possible that the modem has died and you need another. Or you have a bad cable. It's also possible that the WiFI router is bad. If it's a router/modem combo, even more so. The lights on your modem mean something, and if you look at the manual, it'll tell you if there's something wrong. Routers can also wear out. It may be time to replace it.
Matt has a 5G Note 20 and he can't visit a website on 5G. But he can visit it on 4G through AT&T. Leo says that it could be something that the website is doing, that doesn't allow a 5G network to access it. Leo suspects it's a DNS issue, and if he can try an alternate DNS provider, that will fix it. Leo recommends NextDNS or OpenDNS. NextDNS has an app that can fix it.
Cheryl plays Pokemon Go. But she dropped her phone and now she's having a lot of connection issues in the game. Leo says that isn't the phone, that's just Pokemon Go. He experiences that problem all the time. He thinks it's a software issue, and overly congested servers. Leo says that his wife recently just gave up on the game as a result. But he recommends trying other internet connected apps and see how those work. She should also run SpeedTest.net. If it connects, then she'll know it isn't her phone.
Al has an old receiver and he wants to connect his TV to it. He bought one, but he's not getting sound from the TV. If he connects it to the Blu-ray player, though, it works just fine. Leo says that he'll need to go into the LG menu setup and disable the onboard speakers in favor of external speaker output. Another possibility is the DAC may not understand the TV signal because it's encoded, while the BluRay Player is using unencoded PCM audio. Al should figure out what audio the Blu-Ray is sending out and see if he can duplicate that setting on the DAC.
Tom can't seem to connect his Nintendo Switch to his 4K TV. Leo says that he hasn't heard of any outstanding issues, but it could be a bad HDMI connection. He should try another cable. The chatroom suggests turning off CEC, which switches the HDMI ports on and off. It may be called something else. It could also be a resolution mismatch, so Tom should check and see if there's another lower resolution port that it will connect to. He can also try another TV and verify that the dock works. If it does, then try the cable.
