Jody has a Mac and a Samsung Galaxy Android Phone. He used to be able to sync the calendar on both with no problem. But lately, he's been having issues with the built-in Mac calendar and the Android Calendar program. Leo says it's possible that Jody's Calendar hasn't been syncing to iCloud, which is what Apple does before syncing to other devices. Apple may have logged him out before an update. Also, make sure it's not requiring 2-factor authentication now. Look into the iCloud settings and make sure that the Calendar is syncing.
Art can't get his calendar and contacts to sync from his Windows 7 machine to his iPad. Leo says that Microsoft wants him to use his Microsoft account and link it to all of his other accounts. It's not automatic, so he'll have to manually do it.
Leo says that the easiest way is to sync his address and calendar with Google, and then add the account into his iPad afterwards. That way it's all synced in the cloud and he can access it anywhere.
Pat wants to know what calendar app is best. Leo says he uses Google Calendar because it syncs to all of his computers and phones, and he can send and receive invites. On the Mac, he uses BusyCal. Both Android and iOS work great with Google calendar. Pat would just add his Google account to his iPhone in his settings, and then he can choose to sync his calendar to Google as well. Best of all, it's free!
