Jake's friend wants to get into music recording and is looking for a good USB microphone. Their budget is between $100 and $200. Leo says there's a lot of choices in that price range. Blue is best known for this category. The Blue Yeti is the top dog. He should avoid the Snowball, though. It has no headroom. Audio Technica's ATR2100 is very nice as well.
Ralph's pastor wants a camera to use to post videos and teach at church. Leo says that most point and shoot cameras take great video, but what he'll want to be sure he gets a camera that can support an external microphone so he'll sound better. Then he can plug in a lavalier mic.
Between Leo and Kevin Smith, Josh is now inspired to start his own podcast. Leo says that Kevin has his own empire much like Leo does with multiple shows that the world can enjoy without having to invest heavily in radio transmitters. Leo says he needs to be realistic because he really won't make much money from it, and that shouldn't be his focus. He should focus on what his passion is. Do it for fun, and he can build an audience bit by bit. Leo also says he can partner with people who need his skills that he shares a passion with. Then he can expand his reach.
