Yvette has a Blackberry Torch and wants to get a new phone. Leo says that the Blackberry Z10 is a nice upgrade, but it doesn't have a keyboard. Blackberry will be coming out with the Q10 soon, which does have a keyboard. If she can't wait, then Leo says the Z10 does a great job.
Ron wants to know about the Blackberry Z10, but he's concerned about data because his current plan comes with BIS and 5GB. He's concerned that the Z10 will cost him more in data when he travels. Leo says that the Z10 is a good option for those who have to live in the Blackberry universe. Blackberry is moving away from BIS, though, and that's because Blackberry will be moving towards the standard pay for data service.
Leo picked up the Blackberry Z10 (known as the Zed 10) and while it's good for those who are tied into the Blackberry eco system, it's just another "also ran," with no real new features. There's no buttons, just slide. Leo says there's nothing on it that says "gosh, I gotta have it."
Steve's wife has a standalone voicemail service that would page her Blackberry whenever she'd get a new message. Now that she's switched to an iPhone, that doesn't work anymore.
Leo recommends using Google Voice. She can port her number to it, and Google Voice will send her a text and transcript of the message. The chatroom also says there's an AT&T app on the iPhone called VM Viewer that can do this too.
He should be able to export out from Blackberry and into Google. Check out this link for tips on how. Once he has everything in Google, he can then sync down the data to his new Android phone. Leo recommends using Evernote for memos is a better option that works on everything no matter the platform.
