Apple has sent out invitations to their annual fall iPhone event. Siri even has a "hint" about it if you ask her, but don't expect any real information from it. It's more of a fun little coy game. The September event is being held at the Campbell Center in San Francisco, a massive 7,000 seat auditorium, which Leo says has removable seats, so it's likely there will be a lot of product demos going on. He also wonders if Apple product announcements are becoming a bit ho-hum, expecting just the next thing. The magic just isn't really there anymore, it's just another electronic.

Apple to Announce New iPhones on September 9

Leo says that the upcoming Apple event will likely feature new generation iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6C. This is an off year which means "fins," like improved camera with rumored 4K video capability. Force touch. Faster processor and maybe better graphics chips. We may also see, finally, a new refreshed Apple TV, iOS9 and an updated operating system for the Apple Watch, which isn't selling as well as everyone hoped. Leo also says the whole wearable thing hasn't performed as well as expected.

Apple's "Spring Forward" event is coming Monday at 10am, Pacific time, and we'll learn more about the pricing and availability of the Apple Watch. We already know that there will be six different varieties in two sizes -- 38mm for small wrists, 42mm for larger wrists. We don't know how much it'll end up costing, but the least expensive will be $349 and could cost up to $5,000 or more for the gold version.

Apple will no doubt officially debut the Apple Watch on Monday at its Spring event, but chances are you won't be able to get it right away. We will learn more about it though, namely how much it will cost. There will be six watches, in three different styles -- a sport model, stainless steel, and a gold watch. The gold watch has been estimated to cost anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000. The least expensive, the sport model, will start at $349. There will be two sizes, 38mm and 42mm, and there will be several bands to choose from.

Apple has issued invitations to a special event on September 9th, and Leo says that the closer we get to the event, the more accurate the rumors become. We're going to be seeing two new iPhones, including a 5.5" model, and recent reports suggest the iPhone will even be able to pay your American Express bill. Apple will also announce a "wearable" computer, which is being referred to as an "iWatch", but it could be much more. While it is expected to be announced at this event, it likely will not ship until next year.

The event, which returns to the Flint Center in San Francisco, also includes a custom built, large structure, which Leo says will be a demo area. Leo says the conventional wisdom is that Apple is moving to a 5.5" iPhone 6, along with a 4.7" version. But there's also talk that Apple will finally reveal the iWatch.

Invitations went out this week for another Apple Event on October 22nd, this time at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. The larger venue usually points to several announcments, and Leo says it's likely that the 5th Generation iPad and iPad Mini 2 will be announced. Leo is skeptical that the Mini will get a Retina display this time around, even though it sorely needs one. What else could it have? A larger battery, and a more powerful processor. But if it doesn't have a Retina screen, will it be a flop?
