Apple Turns Heads at WWDC with Mac Pro Refresh

Episode 987 (05:42)

Apple announced a redesigned Mac Pro on Monday, at the company's WWDC keynote. Leo says it's a crazy design. It's in the shape of a cylinder as opposed to the more traditional looking tower. It has a central core cooling system that draws heat away through the middle, and it sports dual server grade Xeon processors, and dual AMD FirePro graphics chips. No spinning drives, as there's simply no room for it. In fact, there's no room to expand the MacPro at all, except through USB 3 and Thunderbolt 2 ports. Leo wonders who Apple really made the Mac Pro for because he says it's going to be very expensive.
