The Windows 8 Experience May Just Rely on the Hardware

Episode 958 (02:47)

At the behest of Father Robert Ballister, Leo picked up the Acer S7 UltraBook with Windows 8. It has a touch screen, which he really likes.

It comes with an i7 Processor, 4GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, and a high resolution 1920x1080 touch screen. Leo says that it has some rough edges, but Windows 8 may end up being a pretty good OS once Microsoft polishes it up. Leo also says that Microsoft really wants to move to an annual update cycle for Windows, and we could see that polish, dubbed Windows "Blue," later this year. In the fall, we'll be seeing Haswell chip laptops that could really take Windows 8 to the next level.
