With it's complicated sky crane design, everyone was going through the Seven Minutes of Terror that was the landing of the Mars Curiosity. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory stuck the landing and now Curiosity is roving around Mars. The Mars Science Lab (Curiosity) is the size of a car and is packed with all kinds of experiments.
NASA not only had a cool simulation of how Curiosity landed, but they also have the mission "tweeting" out its discoveries(@MarsCuriosity). Leo thinks the reason this event didn't get a lot of media coverage is because it wasn't a human landing on Mars, but it makes sense to do robotic missions first.
