Comcast Increases Bandwidth Cap, but at What Cost?

Episode 875 (1:45:09)

Comcast is increasing the monthly bandwidth cap to 300GB in several markets, but they are going to do a trial testing how to respond to users that exceed the monthly limit. In one test, subscribers will have 250GB unless they buy a higher tier of internet that gives them 300GB. In another test, they just give users 300GB. In both cases, they will charge users that go over that limit $10 for 50 more GB. Many people in the chat room would rather Comcast throttle their speed than charge them extra. Would you rather have an overage charge or have your speed be throttled after reaching that monthly limit?
