Chris Marquardt ... In Depth

Episode 1720 (1:19:25)

Chris Marquardt

Chris is going to be teaching at the annual Out of Chicago In Depth Photography conference next week. And this year, it's all virtual, so anyone can attend. Cost is $400 and there are over 30 sessions, with two instructors tag-teaming each session. Use the promo code "CHRIS" for $50 off.

Chris also wants to talk about Symmetry in Photography today. Symmetry provides visual stability in your photos and there are three kinds. The most common is visual symmetry, especially in nature. Translational Symmetry is another one. There you can create patterns to build symmetry. Asymmetry can also be symmetric in that it moves a pattern slightly out of phase.

Our next photo assignment is - QUIET. Take a photo of, about or otherwise concerning the concept of "QUIET" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "TGQUIET" as well! And if Chris likes it, it could end up on next month's photo contest review segment!

And don't forget to check out Chris' new one on one photography workshop Photo Sensei.
