Chris is on assignment in Siberia this week, and prerecorded his segment, on GPS. Leo says he doesn't have GPS built into one camera, but it is in his 5D Mk. IV. Chris says that he doesn't use GPS all that much, but if you need it, you can always take a cell phone picture as well and have that GPS embedded. But Chris honestly doesn't care about GPS.
This week's Mini Assignment: A: Arranged. We often take pictures of what we find, but how about arranging your shot? Create a product shot with a background and some props. Let your imagination go wild. B - Blur. Cameras try to get everything in focus, but use manual focus and experiment with depth of field. Play with the focus of everything in the image. Get blurry. C: Close. Play with the distance a little. Change your distance to what you're shooting. Play with different lenses to see how different it looks. Physically move closer and see what it does to the image.
Our next photo assignment is - KITTEN. Take a photo of, about, or otherwise concerning the concept of "KITTEN" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "TGKITTEN" as well! And if Chris likes it, it could end up on next month's photo contest review segment!
