Disney Lays Out Details for their Streaming Service - DISNEY +

Episode 1582 (49:00)

Disney+ launches November 12th, for $6.99 a month. This will include more than 25 original series and 10 original films, plus the entire Disney catalogue of 7500 TV episodes and 2500 films, content from National Geographic, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Fox, ESPN, and more. Rich adds that Disney will also probably offer a bundled deal with HULU, which offers LiveTV as well.

Rich says that by comparison, that will put tremendous pressure on Apple and Netflix who are charging more.

New Live Action series include the Star Wars series The Mandalorian, Marvel's Falcon, and a documentary series going behind the scenes at the Magic Kingdom.

Rich says that with Netflix going up to about $16 a month, people may replace it with Disney+ and that's largely what Disney is counting on.

What platforms? Rich says it'll be available on gaming consoles, streaming boxes like Roku, and users will even be able to download programming to watch offline.  All in 4K/HDR.

All for $6.99. But Rich also expects price increases as time goes on and more content is made available, likely settling around $9.99 a month. Still a much better deal than Apple TV+, in Rich's opinion.
