Today's tips are on how to make people look good in photos. The best way to make a person look their best in a portrait is to shoot several shots in rapid succession. That insures you'll get good timing. If you can't take a burst, it still helps to take more than one picture. It'll at least give you options. Finding the right focal length is also a good idea. Try a longer focal length. Wide angle will make their nose look larger. Using a zoom will enable you to stand off and not be so close. Chris also recommends using color and expose for good skin tones. Make sure your white balance is accurate. Composition is another important part of it. Be aware of the surroundings and the background so things aren't growing out of their heads in the image.
Don't forget our current assignment - "Street." Take a photo of, about or otherwise concerning the concept of "Street" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "Street" as well! And if Chris likes it, it could end up on next month's photo contest review segment!
