Chris convinced Leo to buy a film camera and he got a really nice Leica with a bunch of black and white rolls of film. What's exciting is that Leo's seeing more people posting images from their film photography on instagram. Chris says that this hybrid method of scanning and turning your film digital to share online gives you the best of both worlds. Chris says film is a great skill for a digital photographer because you have to make a conscious decision about what you're shooting. You can simulate it with digital by choosing manual focusing with central focus and manual aperture and shutter.
Don't forget our current assignment - "Windy." Take a photo of, about or otherwise concerning the concept of "Windy" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "Windy" as well! And if Chris likes it, it could end up on next month's photo contest review segment!
