Scott saw Big Hero 6 in Atmos, and it was completely immersive. The sound was coming from everywhere. The Hobbit is also coming. And the new Star Wars trailer is out, although it doesn't tell you very much.
What about the Black Friday deals? Are they the kind of TVs you want to get? Scott says that the so-called door busters are no name brands you don't want to get, usually. Insignia, Element, Septre. Those are all fourth-tier brands. But there are some great deals for high end TVs up to 50% off. Usually they are last year's models, but they're still good. There's a Samsung 58" for $700. That's a bargain. If it's the letter "F," it's the 2013 model. "H" is the 2014 model. They skipped over "G." And there may be a Walmart specific model, along with Costco too. So if you get a UN60H model, that's the 2014 model.
Leo also says he prefers a "dumbTV" over a "smartTV." He doesn't need all those apps. That's what the Roku box and AppleTV are for.
