Chris says that there a few accessories that everyone needs for a good camera, and this week he's talking about those that help carry the camera. Neck straps, diagonal straps, even wrist straps that can keep your camera safe and make it easier to carry. Leo says he uses the strap that comes with the camera. Chris says that works, but it's free advertising.
The Capture Click is a lockable plate that allows you to store the camera on your backpack. And the Cotton Carrier is a harness that you wear and hang your camera off it. It's nice if you have to make a lot of changes. But for the regular shooter, the neck strap or the hand strap is ideal. Optech makes some really great ones and they don't slip off your shoulder either. ThinkTank Photo makes some great camera straps and cases as well. The point though, is to have a good support system to protect your camera.
Don't forget our current assignment - UpsideDown! Take a photo concerning the concept of "UpsideDown" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "UpsideDown" as well! If Chris likes it, it could end up on our next photo segment!
