It's making Leo question whether social media is the proper venue for having an fiery discussion on controversial topics. It seems to be far easier to "get into the weeds" on Facebook and Twitter. The article suggests that when you find yourself in a social media battle, you can slow things down by taking it to email or direct message and getting it out of the public arena. What you find is that when hashing things out on social media, you end up playing more to the crowd.
