The Giz Wiz returns with more from the 3D Printer Expo in New York this week. And it's the ChefJet 3D printer. Why is it so special? Because ChefJet is a kitchen ready printer that prints candy and other edible things! About the size of a pair of Microwave ovens, the ChefJet can print single color confections and cake toppers. Great for bakers, cake masters, and even planners. ChefJet printable materials for both models come in a variety of recipes, including chocolate, vanilla, mint, sour apple, cherry and watermelon, all of which can be printed in full-color. It will be priced in the $5,000-$10,000 range. Both ChefJet models are expected to be available in the second half of 2014.
Leo says that's wild, but sugar is great because it can be bonded together with water. But can it do chocolate? Dick says yes, and vanilla, mint, and more.
