Johnny is growing a mustache for Movember, a cause to raise awareness for men's health issues. He also wants to let people know of a United deal from LA - Syndey for $780. There's also a trip to India for $150. Check out Johnny's Twitter account for the deals. Often they are computer errors that they will honor if you buy in.
The FCC is also now considering allowing the use of cellphones on planes. They recently loosened regs for gate to gate use as long as they're in "airplane mode." But cellphone conversations is something they've prohibited. Now they're taking a look at it because it's being allowed in Europe. Leo says the FAA will never allow it, but Johnny isn't so sure. The airlines can turn it into a revenue stream by selling quiet seat rows. It'll be a living hell, so he doesn't think the airlines will allow it here in the US. Texting, by contrast, will probably be allowed. There's even a petition at the White House We the People site to tell the government not to allow this. Sign it here.
Johnny is also deep into using Pinterest now and uses it to promote travel stories. They even have a map board so you can stick a pin it to where you've been.
