Nokia announced the Lumia 2520 Windows RT Tablet this week. Leo says that while everyone says this is just more evidence that we're in the post PC era, Leo says that doesn't mean that the desktop is going away. It means that computing is spreading out into more devices. A perfect example of this is Nest, the company that makes smart thermostats. It now will be developing an internet connected smoke alarm that talks to you and tells you when it needs a new battery.
We're definitely in the Post-PC era, but that just means the PC is everywhere.
Microsoft also announced its new Surface 2 tablet in addition to the Surface 2 Pro. The Surface 2 runs Windows RT, although Microsoft doesn't explicitly say this, and the Surface 2 Pro runs Windows 8.1 Professional.
