Apple Watch Series 4
Neil has an Apple Watch Series 3 and he can trade it in for $225 to get a Series 4. Is it worth doing? Leo says that he's had every Apple Watch and the Series 3 was a huge improvement. But the Series 4 is equally as huge. Without the trade in value, Leo says he'd probably says it's not worth it. But with the trade in, it's very tempting. There's a larger screen, but a smaller battery. It's a lot faster thanks to a dual core processor as well.
Bob wants to know how long will it be before Android adopts the EKG/ECG medical reading technology like on the Apple Watch Series 4. Rich says it's a great technology, but it's not available yet. The high heart rate and low heart rate notifications are available on Android watches, though. If he's willing to make a switch, it could be a life saver. When will it come to Android? Who knows. But probably not for another year.
Rich updated to a smartphone out of necessity. He's hearing about the Apple Watch Series 4 and its heart features, but it says he needs "number share" for it. What is that? Rich says that the Apple Watch Series 4 is not only a smart watch, but an FDA approved medical device. He can actually take an ECG with it. But he'd need the higher end LTE version for $500, and number sharing, means he'd have to pay $10 a month to share his phone number with his Apple Watch.
