What’s the best way to get online on the road? If you don’t have Wi-Fi access available where you are you can, indeed, use your cell phone. Make sure you have flat rate data service, though. It can really add up. I use my Nokia 3650 bluetooth phone with my Mac notebook and T-Mobile. The speeds are modem like. My co-host Patrick Norton says he gets very good throughput with Sprint - nearly 128 kbps.
If you live in an area where Ricochet service is available, it might be a good alternative. Check out the coverage map at ricochet.com.
Looking for a good AMD motherboard? Check the Anandtech motherboard reviews. They say there’s not much diff between the NForce3 and Via chipsets, but do highly recommend the Asus SK8V if you’re in the market for an Athlon FX.
