Dave in Los Angeles

wonders why Dr. Watson starts up every time a program crashes. I wonder why, too. Dr. Watson is the Windows debugger but the information it presents is useful only to the person who wrote the program. Even Tech Support usually can’t do anything with the information. So who needs Dr. Watson? It’s going to take a registry hack to disable it, though. Microsoft has instructions for Windows 2000 at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];188296. To disable error reporting in Windows XP follow these instructions.
