  • All discs have content at 1080p at 24 frames per second
    • Most TVs play at 60 frames per second
    • Player has to do some conversion
  • Looking more and more likely that Blu-Ray will emerge
    • More studios producing discs for Blu-Ray only
    • Only Universal is doing HD-DVD exclusively
  • HD-DVD can retrieve online content
  • No Blu-Ray player can do that yet
  • All HD-DVD players required to implement higher quality audio formats
  • HD-DVD players also much cheaper
