I too had a complaint of non-receipt of my mail from a Hotmail user. Seems the recipient had added so many blocked sites to his e-mail that the non-blocked e mail was not getting thru either. Have the receipient clear/clean out the “always block” file, and try to send your e-mail again to them again. That trick worked for me so I never block more than 100. Good luck

I saw a mythbusters in relation to your cell phone fire and gas pumps and I am posting a link to a website here where that is mentioned as well as 2 incidents where it happened and was investigated. It appears that if you touch some metal on your car before handling the pump, it would help to stop this phenomenon from happening. Packard Bell is sold exclusively via a technology chain of stores called “PC World” (pcworld.co.uk). Essentially the store is in the style of “Best Buy”…. only not as cheap (I realise that’s saying something). Anyway, Packard Bell’s are considered to be a ‘cheap’ machine (in all senses of the word) and don’t get good press. You should also realise the while Dell might sell a base PC in the US for $299 (which is £163) (with 17″ CRT) they sell it in the UK for £299 (no CRT). That’s nearly twice the price. What a stitch up!

Another good choice for getting podcasts onto a non-ipod mp3 player is doppler. You can get it at http://dopplerradio.net/. In the options you can tell it to direct the podcasts to iTunes, WMP, or just create an m3u playlist file that you can use in pretty much any player, or just download and do nothing at all. You can also define filters so that it can ignore certain items in a feed, customize the tags (so it will automatically change all genres to podcast for example)

I found a device that might work for you. Go to http://www.everythingusb.com/usb_to_pcmcia_card_adapter.html and read about this device. According to this site, it works specificly for the Verizon PCMCIA Card so you should be fine.

I had a client with the same problem. We found out that her email got marked as a spam email address and alot of her client’s mail servers where marking it as SPAM and deleting it BEFORE the end user got the email. She had to create a new email address for herself and now everyone is getting her emails.

Mark with the satellite service—some serious discombobulation going on there. I have satellite and even running dancing-bear neck-ed except for windows firewall, shields up only comes back reporting one closed port so I fail the ping return test but that is it. You need to reset to factory defaults and tackle the router settings again, pronto. Make sure your computer isn’t ported through the DMZ or UPnP isn’t enabled and actively being configured by P2P [or worse] applications or you’re not using an old non-NAT router or something like that…good luck.

know there area alot of very knowledgeable people out there Hey can anyone tell me how to trace a email from the email client ( sender) to the person who is suppose to receive it?

Here is my problem. email is being sent out. But the person is not receiving it. The mail server shows its going out but they say they never receive the email. But everyone else on the list does.
If any one can get me some ideas to try or how to trace. i would be deeply thank full.

I have a new one called wild blue it works ok (for satellite) but when I do a shields -up check it comes back almost all ports open even though I’m behind a router and have a firewall. You have a greater from the static electricity generated by scuffing your clothing over the upholstery.

If the gas pump’s electronics is poorly shielded, there might be RFI (radio frequency interference) that will make the counter charge you less for the fuel. THAT is what worries them.
