Garmin StreetPilot C330
Good call, Leo. I believe the Garmin StreetPilot c320/330/340 series is probably the easiest to use of all the in-car GPS units — a pleasant surprise since Garmin also makes some of the most complicated-to-use units. Both the c330 and the new c340 (available August — adds traffic and “text-to-voice” capabilities) have internal hard disks with all maps for North America (including Canada) pre-loaded, so they’re ready to use “out of the box” without hooking up to a computer. I have the c320 which uses SD memory cards. If you don’t mind hooking it up to your computer periodically to download maps, the c320 is less expensive. I needed something I could switch from car to car (windshield suction mount) since I travel on business frequently. All of these units are small, light and portable — oh, and accurate!
