I’m a Computer Science graduate living in Bangor, Maine and working as a Network Administrator for a local business. I had enjoyed listening to the podcasts for this show, TWIT, and Security Now as they showed up in iTunes, and I’m sad to say that I just realized this week (1–28–06) that I can listen to the show live streaming instead of waiting, and I plan to do my best to contribute to the shownotes as I used to find myself saying (I know a solution to that) as I listened to the podcast, and then realizing that the show I was listening to was a couple of weeks old and the answer probably isnt relevant anymore.
Like most geeks, I like most all things tech. I use Windows, Linux, and would use a Mac too if I could afford one (sadly those who have just graduated from college don’t have excess money just laying around). I am stubborn and so I build my own PC’s rather than buying them even if it is cheaper to buy an OEM. I am a bit of an electronics hobbyist too (I saved my PIII’s Motherboard from certain death by finding another dead motherboard to be my doner and replacing some failed capacitors.
I enjoy programming, especially in web languages (I’m getting to do a fair amount of ASP.NET programming in my job right now). I also enjoy tinkering (I’ve got myself a nice KnoppMyth PC running with a WinTV PRV 350 card).
I really enjoy all of the Leo Laporte podcasts I’ve listened to. Keep up the good work!
