Sony's PlayStation VR headset goes on sale this week, which adds virtual reality to the PlayStation 4 console. This makes it the easiest and most affordable way to get into virtual reality for those who already have a PlayStation 4. Other than the console itself, you'll just need the camera, Move controllers, and VR headset to play games in virtual reality.
Virtual Reality capable games include Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-wing VR Mission, Batman Arkham VR, Farpoint, RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, and more.
Sony's VR headset has a 5.7 inch OLED display at a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a total resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is 960 x 1080 per eye. The field of view is approximately 100 degrees. It also has a six-axis motion sensing system made up of a three-axis gyroscope and three-axis acceleromater. The headset has HDMI, Aux, and stereo headphone jack connections.
The PlayStation VR headset costs $399, which is the least expensive headset compared to the $600 Oculus Rift and the $800 HTC Vive.
