Apple's AirPods are small wireless earpods that easily pair with your Apple devices. Simply take them out, put them in your ears, and they'll connect instantly. Apple's custom-designed W1 chip gives AirPods a better, more efficient connection and improved sound. It also is very easy to switch between devices.
Each AirPod has a microphone on it, so either one could be used for voice conversations. A voice accelerometer recognizes when you're speaking and the pair of beamforming microphones work to filter out external noise.
AirPods have optical sensors and motion accelerometers in them so they can detect when they're in your ears. Whenever you take one of the AirPods out, it will automatically pause your music. When you put it back in, the music resumes. You can also double tap on either AirPod to activate Siri.
Apple claims you can get 5 hours of listening on a single charge. AirPods come in a charging case that holds multiple additional charges that equal over 24 hours of listening time. Just 15 minutes in the case gives you 3 hours of listening time.
