Why is my gaming computer so slow after Windows 10?

Episode 1387 (50:09)

Michele from Simi Valley, CA

Michele has a gaming computer and she has been having trouble with it ever since she upgraded to Windows 10. Microsoft now automatically installs updates without her permission. Leo says she can defer the updates for a limited amount of time, but ultimately for security purposes, she'll have to do them.

Michele says it shuts down Norton Utilities. Leo says it should, because Norton is terrible. She should get rid of it. She'll have to get a special uninstaller from Norton to do so. It's Norton that's causing the slow down, not Windows 10. Windows 10 has its own antivirus utility called Defender, and it's much faster and more secure than Norton.
