Chris Marquardt has been looking for a lighter, smaller camera to take on his Mount Everest tip and it's been quite the challenge to find something that will give him the performance he needs, but not weigh him down during the climb. And he didn't want to buy into a new system either. Then he found out about the Canon 100D/RebelSl1. An entry level DSLR, which Leo says looks like the Olympus OM1 or the Sony A7. Chris says it's a small, light weight, and the best part is that it uses his Canon lenses (with a 1.6x crop, of course). But it cost him a staggering 450 Euros, or in the USA $539. But it has everything Chris needs for his trip and direct access to the settings he likes.
Don't forget our current assignment - THREE! Take a photo of, about or otherwise concerning the concept of "three" and then post it to the Tech Guy Group on Flickr. Make sure to tag it with the word "three" as well! And if Chris likes it, it could end up on our next photo segment!
