Intel To Create $100 Tablet By Christmas

Christopher Mims of qz.com wrote that Intel is poised to start competing at the low end of the processor market to compete with the budget computer categories. The high end computer market is shrinking, as is the cheap PC market. So Intel is looking to compete with ARM, which most mobile devices work on.

Intel plans to get its chips inside tablet computers for under $100 by the holiday season. Mobile chips usually cost about $60, but if Intel can make less expensive chips, under $10 for example, it could break the mobile market wide open...again! Leo says the next few years are going to be very exciting.
